The objective of this project is to implement a multi-source Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. This implementation is intended to improve the accuracy, comprehensiveness, and reliability of the CMDB by consolidating data from various sources into a unified repository.

A key aspect of this project involves migrating data from the legacy cmdb_ci_pc_hardware table to the cmdb_ci_computer table within the CMDB. This migration process will ensure that existing processes are streamlined and aligned with recommended best practices. Additionally, provisions will be made to revert this migration process if necessary, following the recommended guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Design end-to-end solutions for the CMDB within the ServiceNow platform, considering the organization's IT infrastructure, processes, and business requirements.

Develop and maintain CMDB architecture blueprints, data models, and schema designs to ensure data consistency, integrity, and usability.

Define and implement CMDB integration strategies with other ITSM and ITOM modules, third-party systems, and external data sources.

Define and enforce configuration management processes, standards, and policies to govern CMDB data creation, modification, and retirement.

Lead CMDB implementation projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.

Develop integration workflows and automation scripts to synchronize CMDB data with external systems, databases, and cloud platforms.

Configure ServiceNow Discovery and other discovery tools to automatically populate and maintain CMDB data.

Document CMDB architecture, configurations, and processes in technical specifications, diagrams, and user guides.

REQUIREMENTS:

4+ years of hands-on experience as ServiceNow Administrator

JavaScript experience with Angular JS and/or ReactJS

Deep knowledge of HTML and CSS

Understanding of SOAP and REST

Proficiency in C# or C++ preferred

Experience working with PowerShell preferred

In-depth understanding of the Agile methodology

Extensive experience working with business users to understand requirements and implement technical solutions

Experience creating and maintaining technical and architectural documentation

Knowledge of the Application Studio and the Service Portal

Ability to work successfully in a team environment as well as independently

Experience with ServiceNow Glide System API is a plus

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer is a plus

ServiceNow Certified Administrator is a plus

Incident management and CMDB experience is a plus
