Role- RCDD Cable Engineer
Location- Remote
Job Type: Contract

Job Description:
- Translate business requirements into detailed technology and cabling designs
- Create AutoCAD/Visio diagrams and documentation (RFPs, BOEs, budgets, estimates)
- Enforce design standards, codes, and global authority processes
- Collaborate with MEP engineers, architects, and vendors (e.g. Corning, CommScope)
- Manage Communications Construction Management (CCM) and cabling contractor activities
- Lead QA and infrastructure acceptance testing across project lifecycle
- Support PMs during infrastructure adoption and validation
- Administer asset tracking, documentation, chargebacks, and departmental tools
- Define test criteria and perform technical testing with industry-standard test gear
- Communicate project status and technical details to global stakeholders across time zones
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering/CS or equivalent technical background
- Active RCDD certification mandatory
- 10+ years in structured cabling design, data center and commercial environments
- Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Project, Office, and Visio
- Experience with WAN/core/aggregation network architectures
- Familiarity with Audio Visual and Security cabling systems
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC, CENELEC, BICSI standards, building codes, risk assessments
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; adept at global collaboration
- Flexible working hours, including potential weekend support
- Willingness to travel to data centers in Mid-Atlantic (NY, VA) and Texas
