The Calibration and ESD Technician is responsible for testing, calibrating, and maintaining equipment.

Job Summary
Calibration Job Functions:
- Perform routine calibration of various instruments and devices (e.g., thermometers, pressure gauges, voltage meters, etc.) according to established procedures, industry standards, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Audit and provide direction when necessary to personnel conducting maintenance activities in the production areas.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot instruments to ensure accuracy, performance, and compliance with required specifications.
- Provide preventive maintenance and repair on calibration equipment to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
- Prepare and submit calibration certificates, reports, and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Track and maintain inventory of calibration standards, tools, and equipment used in calibration tasks.
- Stay updated on new calibration techniques, equipment, and technologies, and implement improvements to current processes when needed.
- Implement and enforce ESD safety protocols, including proper grounding of workstations, equipment, and personnel.
- Ensure the use of proper ESD-safe materials, tools, workbenches, floor mats, wrist straps, and other equipment to prevent electrostatic buildup and discharge.
- Maintain records of ESD tests, inspections, audits, and employee training. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI/ESD S20.20) and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of ESD control measures and systems to ensure they are functioning properly and in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Train employees on ESD control procedures, proper handling of sensitive components, and the importance of maintaining ESD safety.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Performs other assignments as required
- Adhere to the General Requirements of Team Members
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience using hand soldering and wiring tools.
- Experience using standard electronic test equipment (V.O.M., Oscilloscope, D.V.M., etc.) and related test equipment.
- Ability to fulfill scheduled and unscheduled overtime requirements to maintain factory uptime.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for off-site training.
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuits and ability to read electrical schematics and equipment manuals.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office applications, including Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to work with database management software
- Preferred five years' experience in equipment maintenance and calibration, including experience working in electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ESD control procedures, equipment, and tools preferred
- ESD INARTE certification
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
