Job: Cybersecurity Penetration Analyst - Purple Team

Location: REMOTE

Duration: 6-9-month remote contract

About the opportunity:
seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Purple Team Analyst to join dynamic team. As a Purple Team Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our organization's overall cybersecurity posture by simulating real-world cyber threats, evaluating security controls, and collaborating with both the red and blue teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cyber threats, penetration testing methodologies, and defensive security strategies. This is a 6-9-month remote contract

Responsibilities:
1. Purple Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the red team to simulate advanced cyber threats and attacks.
Collaborate with the blue team to assess and enhance defensive strategies and security controls.

2. Threat Simulation:
Develop and execute realistic attack scenarios to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures.
Identify vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and networks through ethical hacking and penetration testing.

3. Incident Response:
Participate in incident response activities, providing expertise in analyzing and mitigating cyber threats.
Contribute to the development of incident response playbooks and procedures.

4. Continuous Improvement:
Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Propose and implement improvements to security controls based on findings from simulations and assessments.

5. Security Assessments:
Conduct security assessments on various systems, applications, and infrastructure components.
Provide detailed reports on vulnerabilities, risks, and recommendations for remediation.

6. Training and Knowledge Sharing:
Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions to the wider security team.
Mentor and guide junior team members in understanding advanced cyber threats and defensive strategies.

Required Skills
Proven experience in cybersecurity, including penetration testing and ethical hacking.
Red teaming techniques, tactics, and procedures.
Vulnerability assessment
Hands-on experience with security tools and frameworks.
Strong understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors, and defensive strategies.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills
Proven experience in cybersecurity, including penetration testing and ethical hacking.
Hands-on experience with security tools and frameworks.

Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP) are a plus
