Pay Range: $ 55 - $60
Job Description:
Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Unix operating systems, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform root cause analysis to maintain system health.
Manage user accounts, permissions, security policies, and enforce best practices for system integrity.
Perform routine system patching, upgrades, vulnerability management, and implement backup and recovery procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, network, and security engineers to support operational needs.
Maintain comprehensive system documentation and respond efficiently to incidents and service requests.
Must Haves:
Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise Linux/Unix administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Solaris).
Strong understanding of OS fundamentals, kernel, file systems, and command-line utilities.
Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and routing.
Proficiency with system monitoring tools and performance analysis.
Knowledge of security best practices for Unix/Linux hardening.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Perl for automation.
Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of ITIL framework and service management processes.
