BUSINESS SERVICES MANAGER - Technical Writer/Editor

SALARY: $90k - $120k plus 20% bonus

LOCATION: fully remote, east coast/central, no west coast

SELLING POINTS: looking for a tech writer/editor who knows and understand security and networking must understand how to use SharePoint /understands the salesforce platform write assessments, technical reports RFPs, SOWs.

Reports to VP of Business Services -

Work with all company departments to expedite internal services, ranging from document review to supporting project scoping.

EDITING: Edit reports and customer deliverables, including technical reports (assessments, web application tests, etc.), RFP responses, presentations, and blog posts. Assist other departments with edits to customer-facing documents. Assist Marketing in expediting final review of public-facing content. Review internally-completed content in our form agreements before these are sent to prospects and customers, when GC is unavailable. Review and create language for Statements of Work (SOWs) and customer-facing quotes.

ORGANIZATION: Update and manage the Business Services Group s (BSG) Task List; track BSG assessment SOWs from initial scoping call to signed SOW, then manage and track status of the assessment project; ensure nothing requested of BSG/Legal falls through the cracks. Route quotes and SOWs through AdobeSign for external and internal signatures as requested. Create stub SOWs for the assessment services director after assessment scoping calls. Request Certificates of Insurance from insurance broker and send as appropriate. Coordinate with outside counsel when GC is unavailable to ensure only specific legal issues are handled by outside counsel, and escalate internal issues as gatekeeper to GC at such times. Act as point person during busy periods for deciding whether matters need to go to GC (or when GC unavailable, to outside counsel).

Skills:

A) Excellent communications skills including writing/editing, excellent organizational skills, and top-notch attention to detail;

B) Experience with reading and editing IT technical security assessment and related documents (such as SOWs)

Networking/engineering background in an IT security environment

Technical writing background at a networking/IT firm

Security Assessment background

Technical support of sales organization (SE background or RFP response drafting support)

SharePoint skills: Forms, document submission, document management, change control on docs, updating and managing task management system. Creating SharePoint subsites, and developing self-service document solutions for the company s internal use.

Preferred/Optional:

Solid knowledge of the nuances of MS Word and Adobe PDF tools. Experience editing and writing assessment and other technical reports and experience coaching engineers on reporting. Experience scoping and quoting IT services, especially security services, and drafting SOWs. Experience in managed security services organizations. Reasonable technical understanding of information security practices and products. Experience working for or with a technology services provider or Value
