Test Automation Engineer ( W2 Position)

As a Senior Automation Test Engineer, you will design, develop, implement, and maintain automation scripts for functional tests, integration tests and end-end scenario tests. You will collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to create and deploy automated tests, scripts, and tools that streamline workflows, reduce manual labor, and improve overall efficiency within the SAFe agile delivery methodology.

  • Designs and develops automated tests, scripts, and tools to support software development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
  • Conduct system testing to ensure that automated solutions are functioning as expected and meet business requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and improve automated systems and processes to optimize performance and minimize errors.
  • Provides technical support and training to end-users to ensure effective use of automation tools and systems.

Required:

  • Typically requires a bachelor s degree and 8-10 years of related experience including:
    • Unit testing with jUnit, TestNG
    • Testing toolsets/frameworks such as Selenium Grid/WebDriver, PlayWright, Cucumber and Gherkin
    • API/Services Testing tools such as Postman and RestAssured
    • Atlassian Application Lifecycle Management (JIRA/Confluence).
    • Manual, functional and regression testing and preparing relevant test cases
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in test automation including planning, assessments, script development & maintenance preferably in a cloud environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following:
    • Java
    • IDEs such as Eclipse,VS Code and IntelliJ
    • XML, JSON
    • Github/Bitbucket
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum development methodologies
  • Must be a self-starter/self-directed member of the team
  • Availability during the core business hours of 9AM-5 PM EST
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred:

  • Experience with AI automation testing tools such as testim,mabl,functionize,etc.
  • Experience with writing SQL queries, understanding various data formats and related technologies for testing
  • Candidates in the eastern, central or mountain time zones
  • Experience supporting US federal government contracts
