Description
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to provide efficient technical assistance to both on-site and remote employees in Dallas, Texas. This role requires hands-on expertise in resolving hardware and software issues, installing and upgrading systems, and maintaining smooth IT operations. Ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of office IT systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues to on-site and remote users.
Perform Level I and Level II troubleshooting, resolving technical problems promptly and professionally.
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and imaging systems.
Upgrade operating systems and software applications to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including VPN technologies.
Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory, including password resets and account creation.
Deliver basic training to employees on system usage and tools, ensuring effective adoption.
Document system events and maintain records to support seamless IT functionality.
Test and evaluate new technologies to enhance IT processes and user experience.
Handle 15-20 technical issues daily, prioritizing tasks and maintaining high service standards.
Requirements
Technical degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant technical experience, including at least one year in a Corporate IT Service Desk or Helpdesk environment.
Proficiency in PC desktop hardware, Windows 10, and desktop imaging.
Experience with Active Directory for user account management and password resets.
Familiarity with VPN technologies and VoIP systems.
Strong knowledge of 365 Enterprise and Office 365 applications.
Intermediate networking skills and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges efficiently.
