Job Title: Sr. IT Project Manager
Position Type: Contract
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Overview
This role will work within the Performance Management & Analytics System (PMAS) team under the Office of the Chief Data Architect, supporting initiatives aligned with the Texas Data Management Framework.
The Project Manager will lead end-to-end project activities including planning, budgeting, documentation, resource coordination, communication, procurement support, and delivery of solutions focused on data integration, data analytics, cloud reporting, and enterprise data management.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Coordination
Plan, manage, and oversee all phases of PMAS projects including scope, schedule, resources, risks, and deliverables.
Partner closely with the Office of the Chief Data Architect, Office of Data Analytics & Performance, and IT stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and successful delivery.
Create, maintain, and publish project management documents in compliance with DIR Project Delivery Framework requirements.
Procurement & Federal Funding
Develop RFPs that clearly outline vendor services and deliverables for data management solutions.
Assist with obtaining federal matching funds through development of IAPDs (Implementation Advanced Planning Documents).
Project Operations & Communication
Establish strategic roadmaps, work plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
Provide ongoing communication to IT leadership, partners, and stakeholders.
Conduct procurement, vendor coordination, and multi-agency collaboration.
Manage daily project activities including Agile ceremonies (scrum, sprints, backlog grooming).
Identify risks and lead mitigation efforts with project leadership.
Perform other duties as required.

Work experience in the information technology industry with at least 5 years of experience involvement in data management solutions (i.e., data warehouses, data lakes, etc.), data analytics/business intelligence, web-based (J2EE) development, or SOA-rela

Experience in developing clear, concise project documentation
