Position Title: Asset Management Specialist Location: Dallas, TX Work Model: Hybrid Duration: Long Term Requirements:

  • 5-6 years experience in SAM/HAM, technical and process understanding, certified.
  • Travel Need to travel on demand if not in Dallas.

Job Description: Our client is seeking an Asset Management Specialist who is responsible for overseeing and managing the company s physical and digital assets, ensuring accurate tracking, lifecycle management, and compliance. The Asset Management Specialist supports cross-functional teams by maintaining asset inventories, coordinating audits, and optimizing asset utilization across the enterprise.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Maintain and update the asset management system with accurate records of all company assets including hardware, software licenses, and related equipment
  • Track the lifecycle of assets from procurement through deployment, maintenance, and disposal
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of physical and digital assets to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure proper acquisition, deployment, and retirement of assets
  • Support inventory control processes and asset tagging
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers related to asset warranties, repairs, and disposals
  • Generate reports on asset status, utilization, and depreciation for management review
  • Assist with budget planning and forecasting related to asset procurement and maintenance
  • Support compliance efforts with internal controls and audit requirements
  • Provide training and documentation for asset management policies and procedures
  • Participate in special projects and assist other teams as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree or 6 years of equivalent work experience
  • Minimum six years of experience in asset management, inventory control, or related field, preferably within an enterprise environment
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management principles, asset tracking tools, and inventory software
  • Minimum 2 years experience with ServiceNow Software and Hardware Asset Management
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Tangoe Mobile Device Management
  • Familiarity with procurement, vendor management, and contract compliance
  • Ability to analyze data and generate detailed asset reports
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to asset management

Skills:

  • ITIL v4 certification(s)
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Performance Analytics for metrics and dashboarding
  • Customer service oriented with a collaborative team approach
