Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled UNIX Administrator who can also handle Wintel (Windows + Intel) administration tasks. The role requires strong expertise in UNIX systems along with experience in managing Windows servers, troubleshooting, and supporting hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain UNIX servers and related infrastructure.
- Perform routine system administration tasks such as patching, upgrades, and monitoring.
- Manage Wintel servers, including Active Directory, Windows Server administration, and related services.
- Provide support for both UNIX and Wintel platforms, ensuring system availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application issues across both environments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Maintain documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with UNIX (Linux, AIX, Solaris, or HP-UX) administration.
- Good understanding of Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
- Experience with backup & recovery tools, monitoring tools, and scripting (Shell/PowerShell).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-platform environment.
