What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field OR related practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role (Infrastructure or Application)
- 5+ years in a programming language (Java, Python, Go desired)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing the full lifecycle of cloud service modules for Google Cloud Platform-based platforms (e.g., Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, Dataproc, Dataplex, Looker).
- Expertise in governance enforcement, ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards across module updates and releases.
- Strong knowledge of release management processes, including regression validation, backward compatibility, and controlled rollouts.
- Proficiency in CI/CD automation for release pipelines, including automated testing and policy enforcement, focusing on reliability, consistency, and minimal downtime.
- Familiarity with configuration and policy-as-code frameworks for enforcing operational guardrails.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with engineering and SRE teams for maintaining module reliability during lifecycle transitions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to design components in Container Orchestration (Kubernetes desired) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform desired)
- Experience implementing lifecycle governance models for multi-service cloud environments.
- Knowledge of dependency mapping tools and impact analysis for complex, integrated platforms.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment frameworks for regulated financial environments.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform-native services and their interdependencies, including orchestration and metadata management.
- Ability to optimize lifecycle management processes to improve time-to-market without sacrificing compliance.
- Skilled in communicating technical risks and lifecycle impacts to business stakeholders.
