Business Systems Analyst
Summary
This role bridges the gap between business users and technical teams by analyzing, documenting, and improving business processes with a focus on ERP systems and business applications. The ideal candidate can leverage strong analytical and communication skills to translate business needs into detailed user stories and functional requirements that support Agile development.
Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders and the Development Team.
- Analyze current processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Translate high-level business needs into clear, actionable user stories and functional requirements.
- Prepare and lead backlog grooming and decomposition sessions with the Product Owner and Scrum Team.
- Define and document business processes, workflows, use cases, and data flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with system architects, SMEs, and product owners to align project goals.
- Lead UAT and CRP sessions, create test cases, and document and track issues.
- Investigate and resolve production issues in partnership with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Participate in vendor meetings and support third-party application integrations.
- Assist with post-deployment activities, documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- 1-4 years of experience in business systems analysis.
- Solid understanding of ERP systems and related business processes.
- Ability to define business-driven acceptance criteria and support Agile practices.
- Proficiency with documentation tools and techniques (user stories, workflows, diagrams, ADO).
- Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
