Our client is seeking a technically skilled and strategically minded HR Systems & Data Platform Manager to lead the administration, optimization, and cross-functional enablement of our HR technology ecosystem. This role is hands-on with a heavy technical focus (70%) while also requiring strategic oversight (20%) and forward-thinking vision (10%). The ideal candidate brings deep experience in HRIS platforms (Dayforce strongly preferred, but ADP, Oracle, UKG, Workday also considered), and thrives at the intersection of systems architecture, data governance, user training, and cross-departmental collaboration. This role is on-site 5 days/week in Cherry Hill, NJ with occasional travel.

Responsibilities:

Platform Ownership & System Strategy
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and primary system administrator for the enterprise HRIS platform.
  • Lead the planning and rollout of system enhancements, including the upcoming implementation of the Learning module and the expansion of the Performance Review and Payroll modules.
  • Develop a system roadmap that aligns with HR and business objectives while supporting future scalability.
Configuration, Optimization & Automation
  • Configure and maintain modules including Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Performance, and Learning.
  • Automate manual workflows and support integration of third-party solutions to streamline processes.
  • Evaluate system capabilities, recommend improvements, and manage UAT for new releases or module deployments.
Data Reporting & Analytics
  • Build, manage, and optimize reports and dashboards using Dayforce, Power BI, SQL, and XML/XSLT.
  • Translate business needs into custom reports and data visualizations for HR, Finance, and leadership teams.
  • Maintain clean, consistent, and compliant HR data through regular audits and governance protocols.
Systems Integration & Vendor Management
  • Manage and maintain data feeds, flat file transfers, and API integrations across platforms (payroll, finance, benefits).
  • Act as the primary liaison with HRIS vendors and service providers, owning vendor relationships, contract management, and SLA monitoring.
  • Oversee open enrollment functionality and technical setup within the platform in coordination with benefits providers.
User Training & Documentation
  • Create user guides, training materials, and access documentation to support HR, Payroll, and functional teams.
  • Lead enablement sessions and one-on-one coaching to ensure effective system use across departments.
  • Foster platform adoption and serve as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders.
Security, Governance & Compliance
  • Administer system permissions, roles, and audit logs to maintain access governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure data security measures are enforced across all modules in accordance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
  • Partner with IT and Security teams to align HRIS practices with organizational standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, HR Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on HRIS administration experience, preferably with Ceridian Dayforce or other major platforms (e.g., ADP, Oracle, UKG).
  • Demonstrated expertise in system configuration, module rollout, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience with open enrollment and benefits module functionality.
  • Excellent written documentation and training material development skills.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in SQL (queries, joins, data validation).
  • Working knowledge of XML/XSLT for data mapping and formatting.
  • Power BI experience for reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Familiarity with flat file feeds, APIs, and middleware integration tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros).

Ideal Candidate Traits:

  • Able to balance tactical execution with strategic oversight.
  • Confident leading cross-functional training and onboarding sessions.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong communication and vendor management skills.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and proactive in identifying system improvements.
