Job Description Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Business Systems Implementation Analyst to join their newly developed corporate team! Your important role will lead business system implementations at our many lawn care brands across the US. Reporting to the Chief Integration Officer, your role will consult with leadership from our corporate accounting team and local Brand levels to support the implementation of new systems such as ERP/Financials (Sage Intacct preferred), Field Service/CRM along with supporting roles for other systems and data analytics initiatives. Your role will be highly visible and critical to enable the growth strategy of the overall Partners platform. Additionally, your role will be important to keeping everyone current on industry solutions, trends, new versions, new functionality, technology trends and best practices - converting this knowledge into recommendations for optimizing overall enterprise business performance. This role will be highly consultative in nature and require multi-dimensional set of interpersonal and technical skills in project management, system configuration and testing, end user training, data analysis and mapping, data conversion, system support, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving system issues and promoting SDLC best practices.
Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with internal brand and corporate team stakeholders and external software vendors.
- Project Management: Analyze project requirements and advise on key project charter elements (scope, objectives, timeline, resourcing, cost, and risks), working closely with software vendors, branch team resources, and corporate team stakeholders. Act as the primary project manager for system implementations.
- Requirements Gathering: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, identifying alternative solutions to support improved business processes and data analytics across several home services companies.
- System Configuration Manage technical tasks relating to configuring ERP/Financial and CRM systems for new entities added to the LPP platform. Support our corporate accounting team with report development primarily related to financial reports, inventory reports and AP spend reports.
- Documentation: Create documentation including design specifications, system design diagrams, data flow diagrams, training guides, project plans, and other project deliverables.
- Data Management: Analyze master data and define strategies, plans, and tasks for data cleansing, conversion, and ongoing management. Work with local brands and BI resources to troubleshoot, resolve data issues, and improve master data and configuration controls.
- Problem Solving: Analyze the root cause of complex problems, research, and propose possible solutions both within the scope of current systems and other available technology.
- Testing and Training: Support the implementation testing process, including building test scenarios, test plans, and managing core team and end-user progress with system testing. Perform historical data conversions and validate the accuracy of converted data in new financial systems. Deliver system training for key branch-level super-users.
- System Support: Provide financial system and CRM support on issues reported by end users (Inventory, Cycle Counting, Billing, Payments, AR, AP, GL, Reporting). Act as the primary financial system administrator to follow best practices with system security and governance.
- Travel: This is a hybrid, role with work performed in our Grand Rapids office, home and with required travel to brand sites as needed, up to 30%.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, interpersonal skills, consulting, and customer service mindset; enthusiastic, proactive, positive-minded, task oriented
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cloud Field Service CRM and financial systems for service companies (Real Green CRM, Sage Intacct Accounting preferred).
- Knowledge of business processes for field-service-oriented companies (HVAC, lawn/pest, or similar).
- Process Knowledge: Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, GL Record-to-Report, Inventory Control, Billing, Financial chart of accounts/dimensions, building financial reports.
- Methodologies: Strong knowledge of waterfall and agile implementation methodologies.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-Motivation and Organization: Exceptionally self-motivated, effective multi-tasking, and thrives in a small team environment as well as a medium-sized enterprise organization. Demonstrates strong organization skills and time management.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills with a diverse group of business system users, functional, and technical teams. Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel while ensuring quality implementation outcomes.
Experience and Education
- Work Experience: 8+ years of experience as a business systems analyst or solution architect, or implementation consultant role related to business systems for service-oriented companies (ERP, Financial Systems, Field Service/Billing Systems). Home Services industry experience preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Systems, or Computer Science preferred.
- Certifications: Functional certifications in Business Systems Analyst, Project Management Professional, Financial/ERP systems, or similar are preferred.
