Role OverviewThe Data Analytics Lead will play a pivotal role in the Analytics Center of Excellence, driving the identification, definition, and visualization of key metrics that support enterprise strategic objectives.
This leader will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining frameworks for data collection, refinement, and visualization to enable business intelligence solutions that inform decision-making at across all levels of the organization.
Lead efforts to identify, define, and refine key performance indicators (KPIs), objectives and key results (OKRs), and other strategic metrics that provide transparency into execution health, financial health, and success factors for enterprise initiatives.
Design and develop executive dashboards and scorecards, leveraging advanced data visualization techniques to present complex data in a clear, actionable format for senior leadership and executive committees.
Build and maintain portfolio-level dashboards that monitor initiative health (e.g., red/amber/green status), value capture, cost-benefit variance, benefit realization, resource utilization, risk profiles, alignment to strategic objectives, interdependencies, change absorption, etc.
Establish and enforce standards for data visualization, ensuring consistency, relevance, and clarity in all reporting outputs.
Integrate new data sources into the analytics ecosystem, ensuring data quality, currency, and reliability. Collaborate with data stewards and source system SMEs to resolve data issues and optimize extraction processes.
Partner with senior leaders, business unit heads, and program managers to understand reporting needs and deliver insights that drive strategic decisions.
Periodically review dashboard metrics and reporting frameworks to identify opportunities for enhancement and ensure alignment with evolving business strategies.
Required Experience & Skills:- Minimum 5 years in data analytics roles, with proven expertise in metric identification, dashboard/scorecard development, and executive reporting.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining portfolio dashboards that include metrics such as value capture, cost-benefit variance, benefits realization, resource capacity forecasting, risk profiling, and alignment to strategic objectives.
- Experience in predictive modeling and integrating advanced analytics into executive dashboards.
- Experience working with finance and business processes, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable analytics solutions.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex analytics concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior executives.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements and work with diverse technologies and data sources.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data warehouse modeling.
- Expert-level skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including VBA).
- Experience with Generative AI (especially Microsoft Copilot) to identify and design Executive dashboards will be a plus.
Experience working with Finance business processes and data is a plus.
- Ability to see the big picture, connect analytics to business strategy, and anticipate the information needs of senior leaders.
- Proven track record of working effectively across functions, building relationships with business partners, IT, and executive stakeholders.
- Skilled at presenting data-driven insights in a compelling way to drive action and influence decision-making at the executive level.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and proposing solutions.
- High level of accuracy and thoroughness in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliverables, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading others through change, especially when introducing new metrics or reporting frameworks.
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and business processes as needed.
- Ability to remain focused and effective under pressure, especially when supporting high-stakes executive reporting.
