Job Details
Summary:
- We are looking for a dedicated Data Governance analyst to join our team and help establish a robust Data Governance framework across all departments in this COE role.
- The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing enterprise-wide Data Governance by engaging with both business and Digital stakeholders to understand the requirements and foster the development and acceptance of data principles, policies, and standards.
- This role demands a proactive individual who can work collaboratively across multiple departments and stakeholders to build consensus, enhance data quality, and address data-related issues efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the data governance lead and data stewards to develop, implement, and maintain data governance standards, practices, and processes.
- Assist in identifying and escalating business risks that could impair the success of the program and negatively impact business goals.
- Advise and assist in metadata management in our data catalog, Atlan, to capture data documentation such as workflows, data dictionaries, glossaries, lineage, and other metadata.
- Work with stakeholders to develop a network of data stewards and data owners and assist to develop and execute data governance training.
- Develop, maintain, and support a data governance centric SharePoint workspace.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data governance and data management.
- End-to-end data governance experience including data glossary and metadata work and working with business users on adoption.
- Demonstrated expertise in data governance, data management, data quality, and data stewardship programs.
- Strong proficiency in requirements gathering and creating detailed documentation and workflows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with management and team members.
- Strong proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Critical thinker and ability to work well in a team and independently.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience working with data governance tools such as Atlan.
- Experience with data lakes and relational databases.
