Job Details

We re seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer who can wear dual hats of Data engineer and business system analyst to lead the development of robust, scalable data products that power decision-making across the organization. This role focuses on designing analytics-ready datasets, leading product data discovery efforts, translating complex business logic into code, and automating quality assurance within a modern data platform Databricks Required. You will work closely with cross-functional partners and help elevate engineering standards within the team.

What You ll Do

  • Should be able to lead the team/Track , must be comfortable with documentation :- as a lead should be able to gather the business requirement and convert them to stories (ADO Azure devops)/requirement documents, can create business documents such as BRD, FRD , source to target mapping document etc.
  • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting appropriate combination of methods and tools within defined technology tack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize business outcomes through data product design, analytics enablement, and workflow automation. Perform complex analysis and gain a thorough understanding of the current processes along with the expected outcome for new value-based programs and enhancements.
  • Develop and Validate ETL processes and data transformations using advanced SQL, Python or similar programming languages in databricks
  • Collect and translate business logic into reusable, well-documented data lineage, transformation processes, and logical data models
  • Design and implement automated testing frameworks using programming languages such as Python, PySpark, and SQL for data pipelines on Databricks
  • Conduct product data discovery and analysis by building analytics-ready datasets that drive informed business decisions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on business definitions and user stories
  • Convert business logic into automated test cases to enable faster and more reliable development cycles
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and data users

What We re Looking For

  • Bachelor s degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or a similar data-focused role.
  • Ability to conduct product data discovery and find the insight of the data based on the business requirements and translate them into clear, technical documentation
  • Proficiency in SQL for in-depth data analysis and validation of test logic
  • Solid experience of Python or other scripting languages
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or other large-scale data platforms is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, pipeline validation, and business metrics.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical partner
