Duration: 6+ months initially with a possibility of extension
Location: 100% Remote
Required Pay Scale: $62 - $65 per hour
Project Details:
The Renewal Price Optimization team is seeking a new member proficient in Python for data engineering and machine learning. This opportunity is open to candidates with 2-5 years of experience, as the team already includes senior data scientists. Ideal candidates will possess business acumen, enabling them to communicate effectively with revenue management practitioners and understand the financial dynamics of how businesses make and lose money.

Must Haves
- 2-5 years' recent experience as a Data Scientist (Actual work - Not school or general research roles)- No academia only experience must be corporate experience.
- Must be well versed in Python, Databricks and PySpark software skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates across functions with strong skills in persuasive and informative speaking.
- Must have at minimum a Bachelor's AND Master's degrees.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of methods such as frequentist statistics, Bayesian statistics, forecasting, optimization, causal inference, machine learning, and natural language processing
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in Python packages such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, Matplotlib, and lifelines.
- Experience with Power-BI
- Extra bonus if you have a Github or published links to send over.
- Energy industry experience
- Experience using data science to improve customer experience and business profitability.
- PhD in a quantitative discipline
