Data Engineer/Architect (RPA & AI)

Metric5 is seeking a Data Engineer/Architect (RPA & AI) for an upcoming opportunity.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• 
  Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and robust database solutions (SQL, NoSQL) to support the enterprise RPA and AI program.
  
• 
  Architect and implement data models and storage solutions on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) that are optimized for machine learning, data analytics, and intelligent automation.
  
• 
  Collaborate with business analysts and RPA developers to provide the necessary data infrastructure for automating complex processes involving data manipulation, data mining, and data validation.
  
• 
  Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from disparate sources, ensuring data quality and accessibility for AI/ML models and cognitive tools.
  
• 
  Support Data Scientists and developers by preparing datasets for training and testing of cognitive capabilities.
  

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 
  Proven experience designing and building data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  
• 
  Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
  
• 
  Hands-on experience with cloud data services (e.g., AWS RDS, S3, Glue, Redshift or Azure SQL Database, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).
  
• 
  Experience supporting data-intensive applications, particularly in the realm of AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
  

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 
  Experience supporting an RPA program or working with RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath).
  
• 
  Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
  
• 
  Prior experience working in a U.S. Federal government environment.
  

???????Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Location: The candidate must be local to the Washington, D.C. area and able to report on-site.

Years of Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture, with at least 3 years in a cloud-based environment.
