Senior Business Analyst / UX Designer
Location: Austin, TX (80% remote)
Duration: 12+ months
If you re the kind of Business Analyst who thrives at the intersection of people, process, and product and you also have a knack for creating exceptional user experiences this role will give you both challenges and freedom.
You ll be the link between program stakeholders and the development team, making sure requirements are clear, grounded in research, and implemented in a way that makes sense for end users. You ll have influence across the entire software development lifecycle from first interviews to post-launch enhancements while collaborating with the product team and key agency stakeholders on smart, standards-driven design solutions.
What You ll Do

Partner with stakeholders to draw out business and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, and deep listening.

Translate requirements into well-written documentation, user stories, and use cases that follow BA best practices.

Lead business process re-engineering efforts to streamline workflows and improve software process flows.

Design mockups and wireframes that reflect UX best practices and agency standards.

Collaborate closely with product and development teams to ensure requirements flow seamlessly through the SDLC.

Help verify that all requirements are fulfilled, including post-implementation enhancements.
What You Bring
-
8+ years gathering requirements from customer interviews and writing clear, actionable system requirements.

8+ years working across software development lifecycles (SDLCs).

8+ years in business process re-engineering and improving software process flows.

8+ years developing user stories and use cases to BA standards.

8+ years designing mockups/wireframes aligned to UX best practices.

5+ years with strong communication, facilitation, writing, and organizational skills.

Preferred extras:

3+ years with Modern Requirements.

3+ years with Atlassian Jira.

2+ years working with TEA or other state/local education agencies.

1+ year with Teacher Incentive Allotment programs, federal/state grants, or student outcome data.
