Job Description:
Seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Tech to join a company in Pittsburgh, PA.
This position is responsible for the upkeep, installation, and repair of facility equipment, infrastructure, and mechanical systems. Work assignments are directed by senior technicians or maintenance supervisors, depending on the complexity and scope of the task.
Technician Responsibilities
Mechanical: Structural components, process piping, ventilation, and pressure relief systems. Maintain associated drawings and parts lists.
Electrical: Control systems, instrumentation, alarms, motor controls, and HVAC automation. Maintain wiring diagrams and component documentation.

Seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Tech to join a company in Pittsburgh, PA.
This position is responsible for the upkeep, installation, and repair of facility equipment, infrastructure, and mechanical systems. Work assignments are directed by senior technicians or maintenance supervisors, depending on the complexity and scope of the task.
Technician Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance on facility structures and surrounding property.
- Service and install mechanical systems such as boilers, heaters, pumps, compressors, HVAC units, and other industrial equipment. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure operational reliability.
- Support utility systems including water, gas, and drainage. Assemble and maintain piping networks; repair or replace valves, gauges, and regulators. Assist with basic electrical maintenance when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service history for equipment and infrastructure.
- Request necessary tools, parts, and supplies to complete tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and building codes during maintenance activities.
- Keep workspaces organized and clean.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
- Actively support company safety and quality programs in line with role responsibilities.
- Maintain documentation related to quality assurance.
- Build and manage relationships with vendors for parts, tools, and services.
- Monitor inventory levels of essential maintenance supplies.
- Provide guidance and technical support to Level I technicians.
- Coordinate contractor activities and align maintenance work with production schedules.
- Lead infrastructure upgrades and new equipment installations.
- Serve as a liaison with clients, contractors, engineers, and safety personnel.
- Represent the maintenance team in strategic meetings, audits, and safety reviews.
- Manage incoming work requests and delegate tasks to team members.
- Develop and maintain strategic inventory plans for spare parts and consumables.
- Contribute to the design and planning of new systems and facility enhancements.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of plant layout, equipment, utilities, and inventory locations.
- Design, specify, and-with approval-procure materials for mechanical and electrical systems. Assemble, test, and commission systems such as:

Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Trade school certification preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong math and reading comprehension.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
- Skilled in:
- Plumbing and pipe fitting
- Carpentry
- Welding and fabrication
- Masonry and concrete work
- Roofing and fastening techniques
- Proficient in using tools related to these trades.
- Basic computer literacy.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs. occasionally.
- Flexible scheduling availability is preferred.
- Completion of RCRA General Awareness training within 6 months of hire, with annual res.
- 120 hours of on-the-job training required within the first 90 days, unless equivalent prior training is documented.
- Alternate training documentation may be accepted for new hires, with adjusted training plans as needed.
