Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support and facilitate short-term and long-term capital projects focused on capacity increases within an assembly and machine shop manufacturing environment. This role requires strong collaboration with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering teams and hands-on experience with industrial facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate capital projects to support manufacturing capacity increases
Collaborate with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering teams
Support heavy machine installations and foundation projects
Design and redesign industrial service systems such as:
Heat treat equipment
Material handling systems
Filtration and paint systems
Utilities (water, gas, steam, air, HVAC)
Develop and review 3D CAD models and technical drawings
Coordinate with skilled trades personnel and shop teams
Apply project management best practices throughout the project lifecycle
Support shop operations and maintenance procedures
Required Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in Creo 3D CAD modeling and drawings (or Inventor / SolidWorks)
Strong understanding of machine tools with hands-on experience
Experience with heavy machine installation and foundations
Strong project management experience
Working knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera
Understanding of shop operations and maintenance procedures
Ability to work effectively with skilled trades personnel
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
8–10 years of relevant engineering experience
