IT Support Specialist 1 - Grand Prairie, TX

Are you a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Specialist 1 looking for an exciting opportunity to be the cornerstone of IT support in our Grand Prairie office? We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to manage our daily help desk operations and provide essential technical assistance to our diverse user base across North Texas.

In this critical role, you will be the primary on-site IT presence, ensuring our team members have seamless access to the technology they need. You'll tackle a variety of technical challenges, from basic troubleshooting to more complex issues, and play a key role in maintaining our systems. While your immediate focus will be on providing exceptional Tier 1 support, we are committed to your professional growth and offer the potential to advance into higher-level technical roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective Tier 1 technical support for all incoming help desk requests.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.

  • Assist users with account management, including password resets and user setups.

  • Document technical issues and resolutions in our ticketing system.

  • Perform occasional on-site support and travel to remote locations within North Texas as needed.

  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on more complex technical issues and projects.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a Tier 1 help desk or IT support role.

  • Strong understanding of IT fundamentals and troubleshooting methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and grow professionally.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support remote offices.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with Azure for user administration.

  • Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems.

  • Knowledge of RMM tools like Kaseya or Datto.
