I'm recruiting TWO Automation Engineers for a 12-month contract with a high-profile Boston-based organization known for innovation and excellence. This is a hybrid role (3+ days/week onsite) at their state-of-the-art campus.

Position Snapshot

  • Job Title: Automation Engineer

  • Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid, 3+ days onsite)

  • Pay: $76.92 $83.92/hr (W2 Only)

  • Duration: 12-Month Contract

  • Schedule: M-F, 1st Shift (Flexible Hours)

  • Background Check Required

  • Interview Process: 2-3 Rounds

What You'll Do:

  • Identify, develop, and integrate automation solutions to enhance IT operations

  • Streamline service requests through intelligent fulfillment

  • Lead design, development, and deployment of automation technologies and monitoring/reporting systems

  • Write scripts and develop integrations for configuration management, monitoring, and reporting

Must-Have Skills:

  • 2+ years in automation, web development, or similar

  • 10+ years in networking or systems administration

  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Perl, Shell, SQL)

  • REST APIs, XML, NETCONF

  • Automation Frameworks: Ansible, Chef, Puppet

  • Network Automation: Netmiko, Napalm, Nornir

  • DCIM Tools: Netbox, Nautobot

  • Experience building monitoring/reporting systems

Preferred:

  • Automation Certifications

  • DevOps methodologies

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent communication with technical and executive stakeholders

Work Expectations:

  • Occasional off-hours availability to support critical operations

  • Flexibility to pivot as needed with evolving business needs
