Position Inventory Manager


Location Carson, CA onsite
Length of Assignment - 6-12 Contract to Hire

Background Check Drug Screen Required

Manage inventory transactions, cycle counts, stock rotation, and physical inventory processes to maintain high inventory accuracy.
Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, carrier requirements, and export regulations (ITAR/EAR).
Lead inventory planning and replenishment in coordination with procurement and production teams.
Maintain an organized and secure warehouse layout and storage system that supports efficient material flow and traceability.
Implement and maintain ERP/MRP inventory controls and ensure alignment between physical and system inventory.
Develop and track key inventory and logistics KPIs such as inventory accuracy, days on hand, cycle count compliance, and on-time shipments.
Support new product introductions and production ramp-up by ensuring parts availability and warehouse readiness.
Train and supervise inventory, shipping, and receiving personnel; develop SOPs and enforce safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications -
Associates or Bachelor s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics, preferably in an aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing environment.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and barcode-based inventory control.
Preferred: APICS CPIM, Forklift Certification, OSHA training.
Strong understanding of inventory control principles, warehouse operations, and shipping/receiving workflows.
Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
Ability to analyze data and optimize inventory and logistics performance.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
Effective communication and teamwork across cross-functional teams.

Additional Desired Qualifications -
Experience supporting DoD or regulated production environments.
Familiarity with export regulations (ITAR/EAR), hazardous materials, and shipping documentation.
Understanding of AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality systems.
