Job Details

My client is a scientific, tech led quant fund looking to scale their fixed income and equities businesses, off the back of a number of successive years of exceptional performance.

The teams are close-knit groups of Researchers & Engineers who collectively utilize their skills in Modeling and Engineering to develop tools and infrastructure capable of deciphering bespoke sets of alternate, unstructured data and utilizing this to generate and execute on trading signals.

It's a fast-paced environment in a firm known for its ability to combine its vast knowledge of financial markets and technical prowess whilst creating a culture you'd see at a silicon valley tech firm.

Responsibilities
  • Work with quants to implement research, simulate trading strategies, and develop algorithms to compete in financial market
  • Design trading strategy simulation software optimized for distributed computation
  • Build industry-leading data models, APIs and standards for storing and accessing data
  • Create automated ETL pipelines to support rapid but controlled transition from research to live trading


Requirements
  • A passion for working with complex data types and developing software to solve data processing challenges
  • 3+ Years of experience in Python and the various tools and libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Plotly) (Post-Graduation)
  • Demonstrated ability to produce algorithmic code in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other STEM subject
