Description
We are looking for a dynamic VP of Digital Marketing to lead our strategic marketing initiatives in Houston, Texas. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise in digital advertising, SEO, and analytics, combined with a strong ability to drive team performance and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in competitive B2C environments and a proven track record of optimizing campaigns for maximum impact.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and optimize digital advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Local Services Ads (LSAs), and other platforms, leveraging A/B testing, bid strategies, and funnel enhancements.
Develop and manage the organization's SEO strategies, including technical optimizations, local citations, reviews, and schema implementation.
Lead website performance improvements, UX/UI enhancements, and the creation of high-converting landing pages with a focus on site architecture and speed.
Build and maintain analytics dashboards using tools such as GA4, Looker Studio, and Tableau to provide actionable insights and performance reports to leadership.
Directly mentor and manage a team consisting of a Director of Digital Marketing and a Digital Marketing Specialist, fostering growth and accountability.
Cultivate strong relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maintaining high performance standards.
Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends, including AI-driven content and changes in Google ranking standards, to guide innovative marketing strategies.
Plan and execute campaigns to support market expansion efforts, targeting cost-efficient strategies in competitive advertising environments.
Experiment with growth opportunities and new channels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and adapting to evolving digital landscapes.
Requirements
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in digital marketing, with expertise in paid acquisition and SEO.
Proven ability to personally structure, launch, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, LSAs, Meta Ads, and display networks.
Demonstrated success managing paid media budgets of $30K+ per month and optimizing cost-per-lead in competitive markets.
Advanced proficiency in HubSpot and marketing automation tools, including workflow creation and data integration.
Strong analytical skills with mastery of tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Tag Manager, SEMrush, Looker Studio, and Screaming Frog.
Deep understanding of local SEO strategies, including Google Business Profile optimization and reputation management.
Hands-on experience building and optimizing digital campaigns, showcasing technical expertise beyond managerial oversight.
Prior experience in high-competition B2C industries such as legal, medical, or education is strongly preferred.
