We are seeking a seasoned Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Analyst to support a strategic state-level IT investment oversight initiative. This role is intended for professionals who have led the development and implementation of IV&V services across complex, enterprise environments preferably in the public sector.
You will be a key contributor to a governance-focused IT portfolio team, supporting oversight, quality assurance, and risk mitigation across a diverse set of critical projects. The position requires strategic insight, operational execution, and strong stakeholder collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
Lead IV&V activities for large-scale IT projects, providing independent assessment of project health, deliverables, and compliance with standards.
Review core project documentation such as charters, project plans, schedules, risk logs, and deliverables.
Evaluate deliverables for quality, completeness, and adherence to requirements.
Identify and escalate project risks, issues, and areas for improvement.
Track project performance across scope, schedule, cost, and quality dimensions.
Produce detailed documentation and reporting, including:
IV&V Service Plans
Monthly Health Assessment Reports
Deliverable Review Assessments
Risk Logs and Mitigation Recommendations
Executive Briefings and Final Summary Reports
Work closely with project managers and stakeholders while maintaining objective independence.
Qualifications:
5+ years of IT project management experience, especially with large, complex technology initiatives.
5+ years of direct IV&V or quality assurance experience in enterprise environments.
Experience with politically sensitive or highly visible projects preferably within government or regulated sectors.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK), risk analysis, and QA best practices.
Exceptional communication skills verbal, written, and presentation.
Ability to deliver high-quality reports and recommendations for executive audiences.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (required).
PMP certification (preferred).
Additional certifications like CSM or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) are a plus.
