Location: Onsite - San Leandro, CA (5 days/week)
About the Role
We're seeking a skilled and collaborative Software Engineer to join our team as a contingent resource. In this role, you'll contribute to moderately complex software engineering initiatives, supporting application maintenance, enhancements, and integration throughout the software development lifecycle. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and QA, to troubleshoot issues, validate requirements, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and execution of software engineering projects with moderate complexity.
- Analyze and resolve technical challenges by evaluating variable factors and applying sound engineering judgment.
- Translate business requirements into validation scripts and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to support defect analysis and resolution.
- Serve as a liaison to testing teams, providing technical guidance and support.
- Operate effectively in a hardware lab environment, supporting integration and testing efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent experience through a combination of work, consulting, education, or military service.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, tools, and best practices.
- Experience working in a hardware lab or similar technical environment.
- Ability to write and maintain basic validation scripts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
