Job Details

Our client is looking to hire an AV Technician. This person will provide on-site technical assistance and audiovisual support during conferences and lectures, executive meetings and other events for all locations supported by the department. Operates AV equipment at these events as requested. Comfort with various types of technology. Coordinate technical aspects of video teleconferences, web-based videoconferencing, live streaming lectures, including audio/video switchers, control panels.
Set up, test, and operate AV equipment for meetings, trainings, telehealth sessions, town halls, and special events.
Support video conferencing platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom, Webex) and ensure seamless connectivity.
Configure microphones, speakers, projectors, displays, cameras, and control systems.
Diagnose and resolve AV issues quickly to minimize disruption to clinical and administrative operations.
Perform routine maintenance, firmware updates, and equipment inspections.
Document issues, resolutions, and equipment performance.
Provide on-site and remote support to clinicians, executives, educators, and staff.
Train end users on AV tools, room systems, and conferencing platforms.
Deliver excellent customer service in fast-paced healthcare environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3+ years supporting AV systems in corporate, healthcare, education, or similar environments.
Strong communication skills, time management
Familiar with operating and maintaining industry standard control systems: HP Poly (Must), Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer, and Cisco Systems.
Strong knowledge of projectors, displays, audio systems, video conferencing platforms, and control systems.
Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and communicate clearly with non-technical users.
CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or similar certification is a BONUS
Ability to fix/repair AV equipment is a BONUS

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
