Cloud / Network Architect Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Cloud/Network Architect Consultant to join their team in San Francisco, CA.

Summary:
A newly formed standalone entity spins off from the business, is seeking a highly skilled Cloud/Network Architect Consultant. This role is critical to shaping and executing the new entity cloud and network strategy from the ground up, with a focus on secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure across 18-20 distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement a comprehensive cloud and network architecture strategy for new entity
* Lead the deployment of SD-WAN and Zero Trust frameworks across all centers
* Architect and integrate multi-cloud environments, primarily Azure and Google Cloud Platform
* Define how distribution centers connect to cloud and enterprise networks, ensuring performance and security
* Collaborate with enterprise IT teams and external vendors to align on architecture, timelines, and execution
* Support data strategy initiatives in partnership with cloud providers
* Provide guidance on network segmentation, routing, and security policies using Juniper and Cisco technologies
* Contribute to M&A/separation planning and execution, ensuring infrastructure readiness

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience in cloud and network architecture, ideally in a consulting capacity
* Deep expertise in SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and multi-cloud environments (Azure, Google Cloud Platform; AWS a plus)
* Strong background in distribution center networking and operations
* Familiarity with Juniper and Cisco network infrastructure
* Ability to contribute to data strategy and cloud-native analytics enablement
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience working on separations or M&A transitions is a significant plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
