Job Description : Executive Narrative Strategist
Overview
The Intelligent Applications team is seeking a skilled Narratives Designer to craft compelling, high-impact narratives and visual communications that elevate the visibility and influence of our platform. This role will work closely with product leadership, including the Corporate Vice President, to strategize and deliver storytelling assets for high-profile public-facing events, customer engagements, and executive communications. The ideal candidate will be an experienced communicator and storyteller, capable of understanding business needs, collaborating with stakeholders, and producing assets that resonate with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Narrative Development: Partner with product leadership to define and craft compelling narratives that highlight the platform's value and impact. Align with stakeholders to assess event presentation requirements, review existing assets, and create clarity around the production of design assets, including presentation decks, customer demos, UI mockups, and video/motion scripts.
- High-Profile Event Support: Provide robust design support for flagship events. Optimize speaker preparation by developing and facilitating design practices that produce high-quality storytelling assets to build trust with top customers and influence pipeline growth.
- Asset Creation and Curation: Develop and curate reusable customer, partner, and community story assets for multiple speakers, including:
- Sizzle reels
- Story development
- Customer stories and journey mapping
- Videos
- Demos
- Presentation decks
- Executive Communications Support: Enhance high-visibility projects for a senior executive speaker by:
- Strategically designing and curating assets to engage diverse audiences throughout the year.
- Aligning presentations and assets with overarching goals, such as improving customer trust, highlighting innovation, advocating for specific products, and addressing varied audiences.
- Addressing challenges like tight deadlines, complex messaging, ambiguity, and the need for fresh storytelling assets.
- Collaboration and Business Insight: Attend key client and external meetings alongside the Corporate Vice President to understand business needs, product features, and communication goals. Act as a communication manager, ensuring alignment between narrative strategies and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven expertise in narrative design, visual communications, or a related role, with a track record of delivering high-impact storytelling assets under tight deadlines. Experience supporting executive communications or high-profile events is highly desirable.
- Storytelling Skills: Exceptional ability to craft compelling, audience-focused narratives that simplify complex messaging and resonate with diverse stakeholders.
- Business Acumen: Ability to quickly grasp business needs and align storytelling with strategic goals. Knowledge of intelligent application platforms or similar technologies is a plus but not required.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Experience attending client meetings and translating insights into actionable communication strategies.
- Design and Technical Skills: Proficiency in creating presentation decks, UI mockups, video/motion scripts, and other visual assets. Familiarity with tools for design, video production, or storytelling asset creation is preferred.
- Adaptability: Comfort working in fast-paced environments with ambiguous requirements and the ability to deliver high-quality work within short timeframes.
- Team Dynamics: Experience working with senior consultants or cross-functional teams to conduct research and produce assets efficiently.
