Department Introduction

The Technology & Products Group (TPG) Global Industrial Engineering (IE) team supports Micron's strategic initiatives by managing capital and operating budgets across global fab operations. The team partners with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and TPG leadership to drive data-driven decisions and optimize operational efficiency.

Position Overview

This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Budget and Planning within the TPG IE team. The position focuses on budget planning, data engineering, and analytics to support fab operations. It requires strong collaboration across global teams and a proactive approach to improving budget and operational reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with global stakeholders to enhance operational and budget analytics
  • Present and communicate capital and operating budgets to leadership
  • Design and manage cross-functional projects with clear milestones
  • Apply industrial engineering and statistical analysis to support strategic forecasting
  • Develop innovative data solutions and conduct scenario modeling to guide planning decisions

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management, or equivalent experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data engineering
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and communicate complex analysis clearly
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Engineering, Analytics, Programming, or related field
  • Advanced understanding of statistics, manufacturing science, and tool configurations
  • Experience in capacity planning, inventory management, and scheduling
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate strategic planning
  • Proven track record of driving efficiency improvements through data-driven insights
