What We Expect

The Senior Product Manager is primarily responsible for our live service games slate; they will analyze and report on game & event performance, from high-level KPIs to deep dives into specific strategies. They will utilize game data, competitive research, and player feedback to formulate new learnings and recommendations for the business. They will also drive strategic initiatives to improve the way that the PM team operates within the broader Netflix ecosystem. Additionally they will work with producers and designers to prioritize content that improves retention and provides members with a great gaming experience. As part of the PM team they will work to ensure the portfolio as a whole is healthy and driving the correct outcome in line with business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify improvements and optimizations of our approach to running live games. Set those up as strategic initiatives that you propose, collaborate on and drive all the way to implementation.
  • Use deep knowledge of the mobile market and free to play space to ensure that we are signing best in class games to our service in a most cost effective way.
  • Own Live Service optimization efforts at the title level, for a set of key 5-10 titles.
  • Partner with Live Service Producers and cross-functional game pods to make data driven decisions that optimize each game.
  • Closely collaborate with external studio production & creative partners to ensure external games cater to players' motivations while maximizing acquisition and engagement drivers, and manage key features that further optimize efforts towards live service best practices.
  • Determine the research strategy to ensure product decisions are data-driven and meet user needs, including the ability to qualitatively and quantitatively teardown games on any platform.
  • Provide excellent information sharing on game and slate performance through regular reporting and deep dive analysis.


Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in the gaming industry, working in analytical roles including strategy & analysis and product management, assessing ongoing performance and optimization for games in multiple categories
  • Experience managing cross functional groups through influence
  • Experience driving business-wide impact through optimizing PM function workflows and processes
  • Exceptional experience in game design for retention optimization. Deep understanding of economy and monetization design
  • Experience working with live service games on any platform (PC, console, mobile), supporting feature development and live service over several major feature deployments
  • Deep understanding of engagement drivers in live service games
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve and iterate on existing framework, or building anew for best results
  • Passion for video games, innovations in software and how they enrich the player experience


Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $600,000.
