Role: Tandem Developer/HP Tandem NonStop Developer

Job description:
- We are seeking an experienced Tandem Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support applications running on HPE NonStop (Tandem) systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in NonStop architecture, transaction processing, and high-availability systems, with the ability to work on mission-critical, high-volume applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on HPE NonStop (Tandem) platforms
- Write and maintain code using TAL, TACL, C/C++, COBOL, or SPL
- Design and support online and batch processing systems
- Work with Enscribe, SQL/MP, SQL/MX databases
- Perform system analysis, debugging, and performance tuning
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and system reliability
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams
- Provide production support and resolve critical incidents
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives
- Prepare technical documentation and follow development standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with HPE NonStop (Tandem) systems
- Proficiency in TAL, TACL, and at least one of COBOL or C/C++
- Hands-on experience with SQL/MP, SQL/MX, and Enscribe
- Knowledge of NonStop system architecture, Guardian environment, and Pathway
- Experience with high-volume transaction processing systems
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
- Understanding of batch jobs, EMS logs, and spooler management
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Pathway, TCP/IP, MQ, or SOAP/REST integrations
- Knowledge of NonStop OSS (POSIX) environment
- Exposure to payments, banking, or financial services systems
- Experience in system modernization or migration projects
- Familiarity with DevOps tools or CI/CD for legacy systems
