Urgent need for an experienced Linux Systems Engineer to start immediately for a 2 months project.
- This is a 100% on site position, either in their office in Ontario, CA or the client's site in Orange County
- Hourly Rate is around 60/hour on W2 or flexible depending on the level of relevant experience
- We are looking for a Linux Systems Engineer to support a short-term project focused on deploying and configuring seven (7) Ubuntu Linux 24.04 LTS headless servers.
Project Scope - Server Setup
- Server 1: Centralized DB server hosting multiple PostgreSQL & MySQL databases for MES apps (TPS, FPKG, SFS, BOM, IMS, Admin); persistent volumes, environment variables, and health checks (pg_isready, mysqladmin); cross-app access and integration.
- Servers 2 & 3: Django app + Nginx; requires Docker & Docker Compose; .env files and static file volumes.
- Server 4: Node.js API + Vite frontend; Docker Compose 3.4; .env files; PostgreSQL DB external; restart policy always.
- Server 5: Django API on port 80; Docker Compose; .env file; extra hosts for fluxwiki; requires postgresql-client, ghostscript, chromium; entrypoint script for startup.
- Server 6: Django app + Celery worker + Nginx load balancer; Docker Compose; .env files; extra_hosts entries; requires postgresql-client, ghostscript, libreoffice, chromium; Adminer exposed on port 8080.
- Server 7: Laravel Nova app (PHP 8.3, MySQL 8.0); deployed via VirtualBox w/ SSH keys; .env file, mapped folders & sites; Vite frontend; Nova components & Laravel packages.
