Job Title: Snowflake Data Modeler

Location: Austin, TX

Experience Required: Minimum 6 7 years

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Modeler to design, develop, and optimize scalable data models and solutions on the Snowflake cloud platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in migrating and modernizing legacy databases (including MS Access) into Snowflake and ensuring data models meet business requirements, scalability, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models in Snowflake.
  • Lead migration efforts from MS Access databases into Snowflake, ensuring data integrity and optimization.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to gather requirements and translate them into efficient data models.
  • Define and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and best practices.
  • Optimize Snowflake schemas (Star, Snowflake, Data Vault) for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6 7 years of hands-on experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical).
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake cloud data warehouse design and optimization.
  • Proven experience migrating databases from MS Access to Snowflake
  • Proficiency in SQL and query optimization.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) and normalized forms.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
