ONSITE 5 days/week in Salt Lake City, Utah
Milestone Technologies is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist with a strong background in SaaS and technology sourcing to help optimize how buying, managing, and scaling the tools that power businesses. You’ll take the lead on vendor strategy, contract negotiations, and spend optimization ensuring fast, smart, and compliant purchasing decisions. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, business, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of SaaS procurement, including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, renewal, and offboarding.
• Lead commercial and legal negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as Legal, Finance, IT, Engineering, Security, etc., teams, to ensure optimal pricing, risk mitigation, and favorable terms.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate tools, eliminate redundant subscriptions, and drive savings through benchmarking and pricing analysis.
• Partner with IT, Finance, Security, IT, Engineering, and business units to understand software needs and align procurement activities to business goals.
• Contribute to developing scalable intake-to-procure workflows, procurement policies, and sourcing playbooks.
• Leverage and maintain procurement systems such as Coupa, Ironclad, or Jira to streamline intake, approvals, and reporting.
• Ensure software vendors comply with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, with a strong
emphasis on SaaS and enterprise software.
• Proven experience negotiating SaaS contracts (e.g., Salesforce, Slack, Atlassian, Workday,
Zoom, etc.).
• Familiarity with procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ironclad, Jira, Vendr, or similar).
• Strong understanding of software licensing models, data privacy concerns, and industry
benchmarks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a drive for process improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field (or
equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in high-growth SaaS, fintech, or tech-enabled companies.
• Knowledge of procurement compliance frameworks and cost optimization methodologies.
• Familiarity with Jira or intake systems for procurement workflows.
• Have an understanding and/or experience with complete P2P (Procure-to-Pay) workflow for
invoice matching and Purchase Order changes.
• Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and as a team member
The estimated pay range for this position is USD $30.00/Hr. - USD $35.00/Hr.
