The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $75.00 to $80.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Job Title: PowerShell Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Location: Houston, TX (Preferred) / Remote
Position Length: 3-6 months
Position Summary:
Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Script Developer with proven experience in PowerShell and Batch scripting to support the development of computer baseline configuration scripts. This role requires a strong understanding of scripting across multiple Windows operating systems (e.g. Windows 7, 10 & 11), with a focus on long-term maintainability and adherence to defined specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts compatible with early versions of PowerShell (Windows 7 and newer).
- Create GUI elements for PowerShell scripts where required & necessary to support user interaction.
- Design and implement Batch scripts for legacy systems running Windows XP, ensuring functionality without GUI components.
- Structure all scripts for scalability, readability, and long-term sustainment.
- Collaborate closely with OTCRM resource, who will serve as the lead developer and quality assurance to ensure all scripts meet project specifications and standards.
- Troubleshoot, test, and refine scripts to ensure reliability and performance across supported platforms.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in PowerShell scripting, including compatibility with legacy environments.
- Strong experience in Batch scripting for Windows XP systems.
- Familiarity with GUI development in PowerShell
- Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and follow technical guidance from lead developers.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in systems configuration and automation.
- Understanding of Windows operating system architecture and scripting limitations across versions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
