The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $70.00 to $75.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Jira Specialist Workflows & Functionality

Position Summary
We are seeking a Jira Specialist who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Jira workflows, configurations, and process automations to support Agile and project delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Jira functionality, workflow optimization, and creating visual flow charts to document and communicate processes clearly. This role is critical in ensuring Jira aligns with business needs, scales effectively across teams, and supports organizational governance.
Key Responsibilities
Workflow Design & Management
- Create, configure, and maintain custom Jira workflows, screens, fields, and permissions to support various teams and projects.
- Analyze existing workflows and optimize them for efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business processes.
- Build and manage automation rules to streamline repetitive tasks.
Jira Functionality & Administration
- Configure Jira projects, boards (Scrum, Kanban), dashboards, and filters.
- Manage user roles, groups, and permissions for secure and compliant access.
- Ensure Jira aligns with Agile/SAFe practices (Epics, Stories, Sub-Tasks, Features, etc.).
- Support integrations with Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins, and other third-party tools.
Process Documentation & Flow Charts
- Develop and maintain clear flow charts, diagrams, and process maps to illustrate workflows and Jira functionality for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Document Jira governance standards, best practices, and training materials.
- Translate business requirements into Jira configurations with visual documentation to support adoption.
Support & Collaboration
- Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Project Managers to design Jira structures that reflect program needs.
- Provide Jira expertise and support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and providing training.
- Collaborate with IT and business leaders to ensure Jira evolves in alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Jira Administrator/Specialist (3+ years).
- Strong knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, automation, and reporting.
- Proficiency in creating process flow diagrams using tools like Lucidchart, Visio, Miro, or Jira s built-in functionality.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and ability to configure Jira accordingly.
- Experience integrating Jira with other systems and managing plugins (e.g., Tempo, Portfolio/Advanced Roadmaps, ScriptRunner).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Atlassian Jira Administration Certification is a plus.
