Overview

Our client, a Professional Services organization, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead client-facing initiatives focused on e-commerce and enterprise system integrations. The Project Manager will serve as the primary liaison between project teams, account teams, and client stakeholders, taking full ownership of delivery from initiation through closeout.

This role requires a strong balance of client relationship management, financial accountability, and hands-on delivery leadership within a consulting environment. The engagement is part-time / half-time, averaging approximately 20 hours per week, and is ideal for a Project Manager comfortable operating in a flexible consulting model while maintaining high standards of execution and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the face of the project to the client, building trust through clear communication, effective meeting facilitation, and proactive issue management
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closeout, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within approved budgets
  • Own project financials, forecasting, margin performance, and status reporting, ensuring alignment to contractual and internal performance metrics
  • Manage project resources and make informed trade-offs between scope, quality, time, and cost
  • Partner with Pre-Sales teams and Delivery Leads to support project scoping, SOW development, and change request management
  • Author and maintain all required project documentation, dashboards, and tracking artifacts aligned to Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
  • Proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks related to scope, budget, resourcing, and delivery, escalating as required
  • Lead project governance, including steering committee meetings, executive reporting, cost/revenue forecasting, and customer budget updates
  • Establish success metrics, KPIs, and delivery milestones at project kickoff and oversee progress through completion
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including final financials, value realization, and lessons learned / retrospectives
  • Ensure appropriate resource allocation, time tracking, and utilization throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support delivery teams with complex decision-making and conflict resolution when required
  • Monitor project team performance in collaboration with Delivery Leads and Functional Managers, providing feedback and setting expectations
  • Drive adoption of Agile delivery practices, including Scrum and SAFe, where applicable
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client engagements and support account growth through trusted client relationships
  • Travel to client sites as required for key milestones such as kickoffs, steering committees, or major delivery events

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within e-commerce, digital commerce, product data, supply chain, or consulting environments
  • Proven experience delivering projects in a Professional Services or consulting organization, supporting external client engagements
  • Strong understanding of software and system integrations, including APIs, middleware, and system-to-system data flows
  • Experience managing projects involving e-commerce platforms, ERP systems, PIM/MDM, OMS, or supply chain technologies
  • Demonstrated success delivering multiple concurrent projects or programs, including large-scale or complex initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Experience using DevOps and delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), or similar platforms
  • Proven ability to manage, forecast, and control project budgets, including multi-million-dollar engagements
  • Strong client-facing communication skills with experience engaging senior executives and key stakeholders
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and presentation skills using Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office

Nice to Have
  • Experience with complex data migrations and Master Data Management (MDM) concepts
  • Familiarity with MDM and PIM tools (e.g., STIBO, Informatica, Syndigo, Precisely/EnterWorks)
  • Experience implementing e-commerce platforms such as SAP Commerce, Shopify, Spryker, VTEX, or similar
  • Experience with fulfillment or supply chain platforms (e.g., Fluent or related technologies)
  • Comfort working in a part-time / fractional delivery capacity (~20 hours per week)

Engagement Details
  • Engagement Type: Contract / Consulting
  • Workload: Part-time / Half-time (approximately 20 hours per week)
  • Delivery Model: Remote with occasional client-site travel as required
  • Duration: Project-based, with potential for extension
