Senior Data Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their team on site in Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities:
* Apply an analytical mind to turn data into knowledge; By interpreting data to discover patterns and identify trends, you will create timely, relevant and actionable insights that will be highly impactful
* Be responsible for creating and managing highly intricate data models and data-mining large, complex data sets for opportunities across our portfolio
* Perform analysis and testing of relational databases and investigate any data load failures or data retrieval issues
* Design, develop and implement data mining tools and analysis to shift through large amounts of data stored in a data warehouse or data mart to find relationships and patterns
* Assist in identifying and prioritizing business information needs and defining business benefit of data warehousing
* Blend data from various sources and combining the useful data into a customized, functioning data set that includes developing process models, data sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction
* Verify the structure, accuracy, or quality of warehouse data
* Map data between source systems, data warehouses, and data marts
* Provide advice and guidance on data warehousing approaches and solutions and use of data warehousing methodology
* Be responsible for supporting architecture and design of data warehouse, data marts and BI reports in support of various data initiatives
* Identify data warehousing issues and assists in their resolution
* Identify process improvements and provides strategic direction
* Conduct Proof of Concepts, Proof of Value, execute strategies and key initiatives at the behest of Stakeholders
* Guide/supervise project teams and teammates; Define work outputs for the project team and validate/improve their work output

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Technology, or the equivalent experience
* 7+ years demonstrated advance proficiency development methodologies in the Cloud Data environment including but not limited to AWS, Snowflake, Azure and analytical tools including but not limited to Tableau, WebFocus, Thoughtspot, Power BI, etc.
* Hands on experience in Data and BI Development in Cloud/Big Data Environment
* Strong experience with advanced analytics/SQL on Snowflake environment.
* Highly knowledgeable about warehousing concepts, data security. Go getter - ownership
* Excellent communication, storytelling, interpretation of data using Tableau, WebFocus or Power BI
* Excellent analytical skills that enable you to use data to tell a story and bring key insights to life for non-technical audiences
* Ability to design and deliver Enterprise data warehouse and ability to develop customer facing end-to-end BI/Analytical solutions
* Ability to design and develop Data Models and structures for the data driven solution
* Ability to analyze source data systems to identify and document complex data mapping, business rule analysis, functional and non- functional requirements
* Ability to define detailed business rules for validating and transforming data for end-user reports

Added bonus if you have:
* Experience working in a high-volume transactional environment
* Experience in Agile principles and methodology
* Previous experience in payments/fintech is preferred but not essential

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
