Job Description:

6 month contract to hire
hybrid onsite Wayzata MN
Project Scope:
  • 26 applications supported through this team - 8 on prem and rest are cloud based through Saas partners
  • Recently moved their consumer tax to a SaaS partnership and do not have anyone strong with API's on the team. Thomson Reuters hosted software and the api's are fully exposed for team to develop against
    • Are also looking at transitioning their GL to workday in the future.


Team Size & Breakdown:
  • 5 engineers - 1 retiring
  • 2 BSA


Development Methodology:
  • Currently following a waterfall approach, but transitioning to agile methodologies


High-Level Individual Duties:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain REST APIs.
  • Support SQL development efforts, including database design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure seamless integration between our systems and external vendor cloud applications.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance

Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
  • SQL: Proficiency in writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database management.
  • REST: Experience with designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Vendor Cloud Application Experience: Familiarity with integrating third-party cloud applications.
  • Waterfall and Agile Experience: Ability to adapt to both methodologies.
  • Good Communication

Nice-to-Haves:
  • SOAP: Knowledge of SOAP-based web services.
