Position: Web Designer

Location: Oahu, HI

Job Summary

KaiHonua, LLC has an immediate opening for a Web Designer to join our rapidly growing team. The Web Designer shall provide web development, design, hosting and management services. The Web Designer will also assist other teammates on the project to ensure all necessary project objectives are met and maintained.

Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) Must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:



  • Design and develop web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Develop and maintain web based applications that interact with SQL databases

  • Interact with users to address their needs and requirements in developing software solutions for them.

  • Design and develop customized workflow applications for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency

  • Provide user training and application related documentation

  • Other Duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Certifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree preferred or equivalent combination of knowledge and specialized experience

  • 3-5 years' experience

  • Satisfy CSWF 8140.01 Code 45 requirements

  • Have experience and knowledge in web design and web application development

  • Have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Be a strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision

  • Be able to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals, in writing and verbally

  • Have knowledge/experience in one or more of the following is helpful but not required:

    • Structured Query Language (SQL)

    • SharePoint Server 2013 / 2016

    • ASP.NET/ C #

    • Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)

    • Extensible Markup Language (XML)/Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL)

    • Workflow applications development

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weigh up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Security Clearance

The position may require a DoD security clearance.
