We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team and contribute to the exceptional guest experience we're known for. As an Engineer I you will be responsible for keeping all building and equipment in good repair, minimizing down time by providing day-to-day maintenance and performing preventative maintenance of the hotel.

What will you be doing?
Perform daily shift reports including documenting all calls in the Engineer's log, monitoring and closing out calls through Marriott GXP system.
Adhere to all OSHA standards and procedures.
Maintain building interior and exterior.
Foster excellent guest/associate rapport by promptly addressing requests.
Perform preventative maintenance on all FF&E.
Assist in cost control: Heat, Power, Light, Sewer and Water and provide recommendations for improved methods and procedures.
Troubleshoot, repair and or maintain the following:

o All building and FF&E

o HVAC; Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning, and Refrigeration equipment

o Electrical systems

o Mechanical equipment, i.e. motors, starters, pumps, fans, generators and chillers

o Plumbing and drains

o Pneumatic and electronic systems and controls
Perform other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?
Previous engineering experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
CFC Certification for Refrigerant handling and Power Engineering Training Program certification preferred
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as Lockout Tag Out, SDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and associates
Must be able to analyze problems, identify course of action, implement solutions and work as an indecent mechanic.
Represent the company in a courteous and well-groomed manner.
Must be able to use and understand hand and power tools.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist and stretch.
Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
