Job Description
As a Test Technician II, you will perform the setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies under limited supervision. Your role involves performing routine go/no-go tests and hand setups for AC and DC digital tests while supporting the development of acoustic device countermeasures.
Your work environment will vary between lab and office settings, where you'll complete testing for units to be assembled and support testing needs for the team. You'll work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature, requiring judgment in resolving problems and making routine recommendations while following standard practices and procedures.
The ideal candidate brings HALT/HASS experience, test procedure development capabilities, and 3+ years of related testing experience with the ability to work independently while recognizing failures and setup problems.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Set up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.
- Perform hand setups for AC and DC digital tests with precision and accuracy.
- Document test results thoroughly and maintain detailed records.
- Recognize failures and setup problems and determine need for appropriate verification.
- Perform simple repairs and/or component removal or replacement as needed.
- Maintain logs and records indicating malfunctions and test outcomes.
- Develop and refine test procedures for acoustic device countermeasures.
- Conduct HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening) procedures.
- Support testing needs for units to be assembled by the production team.
- Prepare written reports documenting test results and findings.
- Troubleshoot testing equipment and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in daily meetings to discuss tasks and testing priorities.
- Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing test data.
- Support the development and testing of acoustic device countermeasures.
- High school education or equivalent and 3+ years of related testing experience.
- HALT/HASS experience required.
- Experience with test procedure development.
- Knowledge of AC and DC digital testing methods.
- Ability to set up and calibrate testing equipment using hand tools.
- Experience with circuit, component, and instrument testing.
- Capability to recognize failures and setup problems.
- Ability to perform simple repairs and component replacement.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Problem-solving skills for moderately complex assignments.
- Understanding of standard testing practices and procedures.
- SECRET security clearance.
- Maritime industry experience.
- Experience with acoustic testing or countermeasure systems.
- Knowledge of defense industry testing standards.
- Familiarity with advanced testing methodologies.
- Technical writing skills for test documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of related testing experience required.
- Technical training in electronics or testing preferred.
- Hourly rate: $25-29/HR
