Job Title: Laser Welding Operator


Hours: 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM


Job Summary:

We are seeking a Laser Welding Operator to support our medical device manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have some experience in laser welding processes or similar fabrication methods and a strong understanding of quality standards.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform laser welding operations ensuring precision, quality, and compliance with industry standards.


  • Setup and operate laser welding equipment.


  • Conduct testing and maintain records for welded assemblies.


  • Comply with policies, guidelines, and safety and regulatory requirements per the Quality System.


  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within laser welding operations.


  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to management.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality control, to ensure seamless integration of laser welding processes into manufacturing operations.


  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.


  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.



Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to manipulate small hand tools and assemble small mechanical parts.


  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.


  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching within hand and arm's length, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.


  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.


  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.



Qualifications & Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.


  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.


  • Strong written and oral communication skills.


  • Well-organized and detail-oriented.


  • Familiarity with office computer programs.


  • Small parts assembly experience strongly preferred.


  • Experience in medical devices or other regulated industries is a plus.


  • Cleanroom experience is a plus.
