Job Details

We are looking to add a Certified Workday Financials consultant to our internal Workday deployment team. This is a salaried, FTE role.

Travel: About 10% travel expected

The Workday Financials Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying financials within the Workday environment. This role requires a strong understanding of Workday Financials, and financial analysis.
  • Configure Workday Financials modules, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Inventory, and Supplier Management.
  • Integrate Workday Financials modules with other systems (e.g., HR, payroll, external systems).
  • Develop test cases, perform system testing, and resolve issues during the testing phase.
  • Manage data migration from legacy systems to Workday, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Business Process Analysis and Design:
  • Work with business stakeholders to analyze, design, and document financial and supply chain processes.
  • Recommend best practices for optimizing financial and supply chain operations using Workday functionality.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients to ensure understanding of Workday functionalities and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other consultants and technical teams to ensure end-to-end solutions.

Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on Workday Financials and Supply Chain best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Workday post-implementation, including system upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and additional system configurations to better align with the client's goals.

Configuration & Testing:
  • Conduct detailed configurations within the Workday Financials and Supply Chain modules based on business requirements.
  • Oversee system testing and quality assurance to ensure Workday solutions meet client expectations and business needs.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to define test scripts and support system integration testing.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Document all Workday configurations, solutions, and enhancements for future reference and client knowledge transfer.
  • Create process flows, training materials, and user guides for clients.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to project managers and clients.

Ongoing Support & Optimization:
  • Provide post-go-live support to clients, troubleshooting issues and resolving system problems as needed.
  • Conduct periodic reviews with clients to ensure they are optimizing their use of Workday Financials and Supply Chain modules.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Workday updates, features, and best practices, recommending new functionalities and process improvements to clients.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Workday Finance or Procure to Pay Certification.
  • 5+ years of experience within Financials in Workday.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
