Technical Support Technician

Location: Lincoln University, PA (on site 5 days/week)

Salary: 55-65K with excellent benefits

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Technical Support Technician to join our IT team. This role is responsible for providing front-line support for hardware, software, and networking issues across both Windows and Mac environments. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, is comfortable with system maintenance tasks, and is committed to delivering exceptional support to end users.

Key Responsibilities:

  Provide day-to-day technical support for desktop and laptop hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices.

  
  


• 
  

  Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software on Windows and Mac platforms.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform patch management and system updates to ensure security and compliance.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage system backups and recovery procedures for user and business-critical data.

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (wired and wireless), DNS/DHCP problems, and printer/network device access.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure hardware lifecycle processes are followed.

  
  


• 
  

  Support user account management, access permissions, and group policies.

  
  


• 
  

  Document all support interactions, procedures, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.

  
  

Required:

• Bachelor's degree


• 
  

  2+ years of experience in a technical support or desktop support role.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS environments.

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience with software installations, system imaging, and endpoint configuration.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with patch management tools and processes (e.g., WSUS, JAMF, or SCCM).

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with backup tools and data recovery procedures.

  
  


• 
  

  Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
